The South Down Project have established that although a division of the Hargreaves Group are the current Freehold owners of the site, the South Down Project have witnessed proof that there is a full and legally binding Option Agreement held by the Dudman Group of Companies, in force until May 2016, for the full purchase of the whole of the site from Messrs. Hargreaves, and that this Option is unconditional.
The South Down Project are also aware that the Dudman Group of Companies are funded to immediately exercise the Option when they have fully considered their current Cement Works operation and refurbishment scheme.
The South Down Project are also aware that the South Downs National Park have also had this Option Agreement position confirmed to them in writing from the lawyers of the Dudman Group of Companies.
The Dudman Group of Companies have given the team at the South Down Project time for lengthy discussion with various parties regarding this important landmark project, and look forward to seeing the proposals.
The South Down Project discussions with Steve Dudman of the Dudman Group of Companies have confirmed that the Dudman Group of Companies have their own team working on a number of additional full projects for presentation later in 2015.
However, the Dudman Group of Companies have also expressed that they remain open minded to any approach or views which bring forward any scheme that may also be supported by the SDNPA, and considered by the Dudman Group as being better for the good of all, but any such scheme must prove to be totally economically and socially sustainable and, more importantly, completely financially deliverable.
