Stakeholders
It is our intention to work with all the local stakeholders; all the relevant planning authorities (most notably, the South Downs National Park); chosen investors; and the land owners, to create a development that brings the greatest possible community and regional gain.
In the decision making about what actually happens in the chalk pit, the role of the local population, from the youngest to the oldest, from the richest to the poorest, cannot be overemphasised.
A central purpose of the South Down Project is to engage with these key stakeholders in order that, unconventionally, their opinions are both listened to, and actually acted upon.
It is our intention to conduct a programme of stakeholder engagement that delivers on that ambition.
